Nuggets of the Future (?)

Reading Writing And Arithmetic was the debut album by The Sundays, released in 1990 by Geffen Records in the US, Rough Trade in the UK. They were from Reading, England, and the title of the album is a pun on the name of their hometown. I bought this album on cassette back in 1991, but lost it sometime in the 90s, and now own it on CD (because I just couldn’t live without it). At the time, I didn’t know that guitarist David Gavurin and singer Harriet Wheeler were boyfriend and girlfriend. In the days since their third and last album was released in 1997, the two have gotten married and had two children. Which, in an obscure and not-easily-explained fashion, gives me hope for the future.
